Our Best’s Best Practices : Bradon Borgardt
Tell us how many skilled workers you need and what trade
How do you measure success as a Project Coordinator?
I measure success as a project coordinator by how orders are filled and making sure to always provide quality service to prospective/current FE’s.
How do you explain or position our company to your candidates?
I provide a description of what we do, and explain what differentiates us from a traditional staffing company and highlight the extra benefits you get with Tradesmen.
What is the biggest challenge you face as a Project Coordinator and how do you overcome it?
Dealing with large orders can get hectic on a day to day basis, but working directly with the account executive and staying organized off a spreadsheet helps make the process of these big orders much more fluid.
Any other insights you want to share that will help your peers?
I think the biggest thing is being straight forward with the candidate on exactly what we do and as specific as possible about each job opportunity. Answer all questions and be upfront with the specifics so the FE knows exactly what he or she is getting into, so we can set them up for success. Also, if you do get a rock star employee make sure to ask if they have anyone they know who is looking for work! We built up Waupaca Foundry by getting a lot of quality referrals from our current FE’s.
