What Does This Nomination Entail?
Craft Professional of the Year nominees must:
- Be employed by an ABC member firm in good standing
- Be verified as a journeyperson
- Spend approximately 90% of their workday using tools or directly supervising others in using tools (non-field positions such as project managers or estimators are ineligible)
What’s at Stake?
This honor carries significance beyond mere prestige:
- A $10,000 cash prize
- A plaque
- A feature in Construction Executive magazine
- A free registration to ABC Convention 2026 in Salt Lake City (March 18–20)
- Public recognition during the Opening General Session, where the winners are announced

- Nomination Deadline: Friday, October 10, 2025.
- Application Completion Deadline: Friday, October 17, 2025.
- Finalists Notified: By Monday, November 10, 2025.
- Virtual Interviews: Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
