Recognizing potential hazards, placing a hand in a different position, wearing PPE or even changing a dull saw blade may prevent injury.
Always wear the right gloves and:
- Be aware of pinch points
- Don’t rush or take shortcuts
- Don’t remove guards; leave the safety features in tact
- Position hands so that fingers won’t get caught
- Know how to properly handle tools and equipment
- Don’t wear rings or bracelets
